This ricotta toast burst with flavors of fresh basil, tomatoes in season, sourdough bread, and some sea salt sprinkled on top. This filling recipe is perfect for breakfast or a quick bite for lunch.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 4 tablespoons of ricotta cheese
  • 12 whole basil Leaves
  • 2 heirloom tomatos washed and sliced
  • pinch of sea salt

Directions

  1. Set oven to broil. Place bread slices on a baking sheet and broil for 1-2 minutes till slightly golden and crispy. Spread ricotta cheese, sprinkle some salt, add basil leaves and tomato slices on top, sprinkle some more sea salt and enjoy.
