Ground Beef And Potato Casserole

Casseroles are the best form of comfort food, especially for a busy family lifestyle. This beef and potato casserole requires only six ingredients that are easy to find at any grocery store. This casserole saved the day many times in the past; it’s made with potatoes, beef, carrot, and cheese. Easy, simple, and done in one dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 Vidalia onion
  • 1 carrot large-sized
  • 4 potatoes medium-sized
  • 4 tbsp mayo

Instructions
 

  • Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Peel and shred the carrot, peel and dice the onion, wash potatoes, and slice in a half-circle shape not too thick so they can bake faster.
  • In an oven-safe baking dish, first layer ground beef layer, press tight, sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon of salt. 
  • Add a layer with onions, next add shredded carrots.
  • In a large bowl add sliced potatoes, mayo, and a teaspoon of salt, mix well till all potatoes are well coated. Layer the casserole with potatoes.
  • Bake for 30 minutes till potatoes are golden. 
  • Sprinkle with cheese on top and bake for 5 more minutes. 

Notes

-Buy organic potatoes so you wouldn’t have to peel the skin.
