These pan-fried oyster mushrooms have a chewy meaty texture, mildly nutty flavor, and intriguing look. They would perfectly compliment any dish or can be enjoyed on their own.
Clean all the oyster mushrooms by quickly rinsing or gently wiping them with a damp paper towel. Do not let the mushrooms soak in the water, as they will absorb water and become mushy. If mushrooms are big slice them mushrooms into thin strips.
Heat some ghee in a pan over medium-high heat. Once the ghee has melted, place mushrooms in the hot oil and pan-fry for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden browned.
Reduce the heat, add powdered garlic, salt, and pepper, and continue pan-frying for an additional 2 minutes till they get a little crispy.
Remove crispy fried oyster mushrooms from the heat, add toasted sesame oil, and stir once before serving. Serve while still hot. Enjoy!
