This chocolate mousse with avocado makes a healthy and tasty dessert. It is made in minutes with simple ingredients: avocados, dates, and raw cacao powder. It doesn’t get healthier than that, with no artificial sugar or processed ingredients.

  • 1 cup organic dates
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 2/3 cup cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 avocados ripe, large-sized
  • 1 pinch salt


  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Slice avocadoes, remove pits, peel the skin. 
  • Place dates, milk, cacao powder, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt in the food processor. Pulse till all dates are crushed and well blended with coconut milk. Next place the avocado slices and pulse till combined.


-This recipe works only with ripe avocadoes.
-Makes 4 glass jars.
-Sprinkle with organic hemp seeds for extra nutrition. Other delicious topping choices could be roasted nuts, cacao nibs, shredded coconut, fresh berries, banana, cinnamon spice.
