Easy, gluten-free butternut squash bars are made with simple ingredients from the pantry. This healthy recipe is made without refined sugar using real food ingredients.
Gather the ingredients. Preheat oven to 375F degrees.
In a large mixing bowl whisk eggs, gently fold butternut squash puree, add pumpkin spice, maple syrup, stir well to combine. Gradually add almond flour, mix well.
Line with parchment paper oven-safe baking dish, add the batter. Bake on the middle rack in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes.
While baking, make cream cheese frosting. Whip for 3-4 minutes cream cheese with butter, add three tablespoons of maple syrup, scrab sides in between mixing.
Cool butternut squash bars before adding frosting.
Notes
-It’s important not to overbake so the bars come out moist and flavorful. Store in the air-tight container in the fridge.
