Easy falafel recipe made with canned chickpeas, parsley, and some simple ingredients from the pantry. These falafels are baked in the oven and ready in 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400F degrees. Gather the ingredients.
In a food processor, place parsley and pulse till minced, scrape sides a couple of times between pulsing. Add a diced onion, pulse till minced. Place the mixture in a large mixing bowl.
Rinsed chickpeas add to the food processor, pulse till minced, and not completely blended.
Add chickpeas to the bowl with parsley. Add to the bowl salt, olive oil, and cumin. Start gradually adding flour while mixing with the spoon.
Prepare a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Using a tablespoon, scoop enough mixture to form falafel, use hands to shape the round ball. Slightly flatten with a fork. Make sure the patties are spaced out and don’t touch each other.
Bake on the middle rack position for 30 minutes till lightly brown.
