Ricotta Toast With Fresh Tomato

This ricotta toast burst with flavors of fresh basil, tomatoes in season, sourdough bread, and some sea salt sprinkled on top. This filling recipe is perfect for breakfast or a quick bite for lunch.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 tbsp ricotta cheese
  • 12 basil Leaves
  • 2 heirloom tomatoes washed and sliced
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Gather the ingredients. Set oven to broil.
  • Place bread slices on a baking sheet and broil for 1-2 minutes till slightly golden and crispy. Spread ricotta cheese, sprinkle some salt, add basil leaves and tomato slices on top, sprinkle some more sea salt, and enjoy.

Notes

-Also great with fried egg over-medium on top.
