- honey
- lemon juice
Instructions
- Boil the water in a saucepan. Turn off the heat once the water boils.
- Add the dried butterfly pea flowers.
- Cover the saucepan. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add honey or sugar to taste. Add lemon juice for taste and a change of color. Serve hot or cold.
Notes
- Be careful not to oversteep, as this will make the tea bitter.
- Adding hibiscus leaves during steeping turns the tea red.
- Mix butterfly pea tea with lemonade to make purple iced lemonade.
