Ingredients

  • 4 slices white bread

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F.
  • Take the slices of bread and carefully remove the crusts.
  • Cut the bread into small pieces.
  • Place the bread cubes or pieces onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the bread is completely dried.
  • Once the bread is dry and crispy, please remove it from the oven.
  • Let it cool completely.
  • Transfer the dried bread to a food processor or blender.
  • Pulse the bread several times until you achieve the desired texture.

Notes

  • Always start with a low oven temperature to ensure the bread crumbs dry out evenly without browning.
  • If you want, you can leave the crusts on for a more rustic texture.
  • Arrange the bread in the baking tray properly. Make sure to avoid crowding the slices to allow for proper airflow.
  • During toasting, keep a close eye on the bread to prevent browning or burning.
  • Refrain from grinding your crumbs too fine. Remember, you want them coarse and flaky.
