Delicata squash is the perfect squash to enjoy the fall season. The flavor of this squash is sweet and nutty and the skin is edible so no peeling is needed. It looks festive and will complement many dishes.

How to Cook Delicata Squash

1. Preheat oven to 425F degrees. Gather the ingredients. Wash, scrub and dry the squash. Since the skin will be edible, it’s important to remove the sticky labels completely if present. Cut the ends off, slice in circles.

2. Then slice each circle in a half-moon shape and remove the seeds with the knife or the spoon. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Add squash, drizzle with olive oil, mix well, so all pieces are coated in oil.

3. Bake for 20 minutes on the top shelf till lightly brown and soft. Enjoy in salads or as topping in other dishes.
